MAMAA

MAMAA...

It's not just the start of Bohemian Rhapsody.

It's an acronym for the world's biggest tech giants by revenue: Microsoft, Alphabet Inc., Meta, Amazon, and Apple.

Not in that order, but AAAMM doesn't sound as good.

In 2021, these five companies generated $1.4 TRILLION in revenue... more than Mexico's GDP.

And if you want to see a breakdown of how each of those five companies made all of that money, Visual Capitalist published a terrific infographic yesterday that's worth a share.

P.S. If you've ever wondered why Meta is putting so much emphasis on the Metaverse, this chart may suggest one good reason: developing the Metaverse could be a way to diversify its revenue away from advertising... which makes up 97.5% of its revenue today. Yikes...
