Measure Twice

Fixing a defective brick is far more cost effective than re-architecting an entire building.

I've noticed "hustle culture" sometimes has a real disdain for "strategy"...

... perhaps believing that taking the time to think about your competitive positioning and course of action (and how you might negate potential obstacles along the way) makes you move slower than you otherwise could.

Sure, thinking about your business strategically takes some time.

And spending all your time thinking and none of your time doing is bad.

But spending all of your time doing and none of your time thinking is just as bad... and often, much worse.

(Doing without thinking is an easy way to burn cash, wouldn't you say?)

"Go fast and break things" is great...

... unless you're the person responsible for repairing what's broken.

"Measure twice, cut once" is an adage for a reason.
