A few weeks ago, I had a VirtuaLatte with someone who used to work at LinkedIn. At one point, we began discussing the art of writing on LinkedIn, and how various posts manage to achieve different levels of visibility. I mentioned I found it frustrating that so many of my posts only get around 2,000 views.
And I was surprised by his response: he told me that most posts hit around 500 views or less, and if I was regularly exceeding that, I should be very happy with those results. To recap: I was frustrated by the fact that my least successful posts would be QUADRUPLE the number of views an average post would typically get. It's so easy to get down on yourself and start to think you haven't accomplished enough.
If that sounds like you, I have some good news...
You might be doing much better than you think.
