Do you know what shocks me most about the chart below?
It's not the list of resolutions themselves. After all, lots of people resolve to exercise more, quit a bad habit, or spend more time with family every January.
It's that people 65+ are far less likely to make any of these resolutions!
A few of them make sense; for instance, when you're over 65, perhaps there's less need to save money and more time to spend it.
But reading more?
Learning something new?!?
Being happy?!?!?
I don't know about you, friends, but I plan to do MORE of those things as I age, not less.
If you're fortunate enough to remain healthy as you age, there's a lot of truth to the adages, "Age is just a number" and "You're only as old as you feel."
And you're never too old to try and be better than you were yesterday.
So this year, let's choose to feel young, strive to be better, and resolve to be happy.
Because the alternative sounds like a terrible plan, doesn't it?
